Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower is the most famous symbol of Paris. It is 320 meters tall, and was the highest construction in the world when it was built for the 1889 Universal Exhibition.
Louvre
One of the largest and most famous museums in the world is housed in the former royal palace, Louvre, in the center of Paris.
Père-Lachaise
The necropolisPère-Lachaise is one of the largest and most impressive cemeteries in the world.
Center
Other notable sites in Paris include the Arch of Triumph, Notre Dame, the Opera and the Sacre-Coeur basilica.
Versailles
Luis XIV built a massive palace in Versailles, just outside Paris. It was safer there than in the big city with all those protesting peasants.
Luxembourg
We also made a trip to Luxembourg to see what that city had to offer.
